Manuel Arango was co-founder and partner of a large general retailing business, today Wal-Mart de México. During the last thirty-five years he has concentrated his business activities in real estate development in Mexico City, Acapulco and La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico.
His special interest in the environment, as well as his commitment to promoting a culture of citizen participation, have led him over the last four decades to dedicate a significant amount of his time and effort to the development and growth of the nonprofit sector, the environment and corporate social responsibility in Mexico. As a result, he founded and remains involved with several nonprofit organizations including the Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía (Cemefi), Compartir Fundación Social, Fundación Xochitla, Fundación Mexicana para la Educación Ambiental and Caracol de Plata. He has also served as a Board member for diverse organizations in Mexico and abroad such as the Centro Mario Molino, Transparencia Mexicana, Council on Foundations, World Resources Institute and the Encuentros Iberoamericanos del Tercer Sector.
Mr. Arango has produced several documentaries, including Sentinels of Silence, for which he received two Academy Awards in 1971, and most recently Garden in the Sea, a film that shows how art can help protect nature.

Kylee Bates has been an active member of IAVE since 2001 and a member of the board of directors since 2008.
In 2014, Kylee was elected as IAVE’s World President. Kylee is CEO of Ardoch Youth Foundation.
Ardoch's vision is that every child's and young person's potential is realised through full participation and involves over 1400 volunteers in providing education support for children and young people in disadvantaged communities.
Kumi Naidoo is currently serving as Launch Executive Director to the African Civil Society Initiative, an ambitious and evolving new initiative seeking to unite civil society across the continent around the issues of corruption, inequality, shrinking democratic space, climate change, poverty and gender equality. Formerly Executive Director for Greenpeace International, Kumi has served as Secretary General of CIVICUS: World
Alliance for Citizen Participation, Board Chair of the Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAAP) and President of the Global Call for Climate Action (GCCA). Kumi now serves as Board member for 350.org and the Global Greengrants Fund and as an ambassador to the Southern African Faith Communities
Environmental Institute (SAFCEI). Kumi has campaigned on issues ranging from apartheid at the age of 15, to adult education and violence against women.
Chief of the UNV Volunteer Knowledge and Innovation Section
Ms. Mukwashi is the Chief of the UNV Volunteer Knowledge and Innovation Section responsible for policy, research, innovation and advocacy.
With an educational background in Law, she has worked for over 20 years in development on issues of gender justice, civic engagement, economic empowerment and volunteerism.
Among some of the organizations she has worked with and roles she has held are: VSO as Director of Policy, COMESA (the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) as Head of Women in Business, Gender Population and Development Programme as National Coordinator and Skillshare International as Head of Programmes.

Teresa Perales is a Paralympics swimmer, who has won a total of 22 Paralympic medals at the past four Summer Paralympics. In 1995, she was diagnosed with neuropathy and lost the use of her legs within three months.
After her diagnosis, she took up swimming and joined CAI CDM, a disability sport club. From that point she began competing in championships and winning several medals.
In 2000 she competed in her first Summer Paralympics in Sydney. Aside from swimming, she has been a politician, teacher, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. She has supported a number of causes including Doctors Without Borders, Fundación Carlos Sanz and Fundación Vicente Ferrer. She is currently the ambassador for Telefónica Foundation.
Ricardo Tadeu graduated from Law School at the Cândido Mendes University in Río de Janeiro, Brazil and later received his master degree in law at Harvard University. He is certified as a Black Belt by Six Sigma.
Ricardo joined Anheuser Busch InBev 19 years ago and has contributed to the company in the areas of sales, logistics and finance. He was appointed President of the Business Unit in Brazil. In his current role of the CEO of Grupo Modelo and President of AB InBev for Mexico he is leading one of the nation´s largest breweries
major chain of retail-opticals of Latin-America, founded 80 years ago. He is from Juarez-Chihuahua/Mexico. Second world president from Mexico to serve as President of Rotary-International with over 34-thousand Rotary-Clubs in 200 countries with 1.3 million members.
He has served as president/board member in various leading national/international organizations. At present he serves as a Board Member of the Tuberculosis-Association/Mexico, Banamex, Cemefi (Mexico Center-of-Philanthropy), Funsalud(Health-Foundation), General Hospital/Mexico City, Juarez-General Hospital/Mexico City, Mexican Cornea-Center.

Chamber of Commerce. Member/Mexican Hall of Entrepreneurs-2009. He presently serves as the Honorary Consul of Jordan for Mexico. Co-Author of 5 bestseller books on Rotary-International.
Tracy Hoover is the chief executive officer of Points of Light, the largest organization in the world dedicated to volunteer service. Having served as Points of Light’s president, chief of staff and chief operating officer, Hoover brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and volunteer service sector to the task of leading the organization.
Hoover is an America’s Promise Alliance trustee and a member of the Voices for National Service steering committee, the Presidio Trust’s Fort Scott Council, and the advisory board of L’Arche Atlanta.
Prior to joining Points of Light in 2008, Hoover was the CEO of Hands On Atlanta, a Points of Light affiliate that connects individuals, families and groups with volunteer opportunities. Under her leadership, Hands On Atlanta grew to become one of the country’s premier volunteer mobilization organizations. Hoover also served on the board of HandsOn Network, which merged with Points of Light in 2007.
Before moving to Atlanta, Hoover led the business and financial operations for Episcopal Children’s Services in Jacksonville, Fla., a prominent, children’s services and advocacy organization.
